About Us
At California's Perinatal Hub, connection is at the heart of everything we do.

Together, we create what’s possible
At California’s Perinatal Hub, we connect families and professionals to the care, knowledge, and support they need during the perinatal season—when lives are changing and futures are forming. Our mission is to make sure no one navigates this season alone. Whether you’re a new parent seeking culturally responsive care or a provider working to better serve your patients, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Our core values
At California Perinatal Wellness, our work is grounded in values that reflect the care we offer, the people we serve, and the systems we’re working to change. These values guide our every conversation, collaboration, and clinical decision.
Culturally Responsive Care
We honor the lived experiences of all birthing people and families. Our approach centers cultural humility and trauma-informed practices, recognizing that trust and safety are essential for healing and thriving.
Healing-Centered Support
We believe healing is possible—individually and collectively. We bring compassion and curiosity into every interaction, helping families and professionals move from survival to strength through tailored, holistic care.
Shared Responsibility
Perinatal wellness is a community effort. We’re not meant to do this alone. That’s why we partner across disciplines and sectors—bridging families, providers, and systems to ensure no one falls through the cracks.
Radical Access
We’re reimagining what accessible care looks like. That means meeting people where they are, removing barriers, and making sure services are delivered with dignity, clarity, and connection.
Growth & Learning
Whether you're a parent or a professional, we’re here to help you grow. We offer tools, training, and support that foster confidence—not just competence—in navigating the perinatal season.
A welcome from our founder
Hi, I’m Alexandra!
I created the California Perinatal Hub because I saw too many families falling through the cracks—and too many professionals feeling overwhelmed by the complexity of care during this critical season. As a birthworker and advocate, I knew there had to be a better way to connect, support, and sustain both sides of the equation. The Hub is that better way: A place where people, systems, and solutions come together to make sure everyone thrives.
We’re so glad you’re here.
— Dr. Alexandra Addo-Boateng, EdD Psy

What the Hub actually does
We’re more than a directory. We’re a centralized connector and service provider for perinatal care, bridging clinical, emotional, and social support systems across California. Here’s how:
- We connect families to trusted support like therapists, doulas, lactation counselors, and cultural navigators.
- We support professionals with education, consultations, and collaboration tools to embed trauma-informed, inclusive care into everyday practice.
- We build systems through a no-wrong-door approach, making perinatal support easier to access—for everyone.
